Developed a complete real-time messaging platform with instant bidirectional communication using Socket.io. Implemented secure user authentication with JWT tokens and HTTP-only cookies. Built a responsive dark-themed chat interface with Tailwind CSS featuring message bubbles, online user indicators, and image upload capabilities via Cloudinary. Used Zustand for efficient global state management and i18next for internationalization support. The backend features a RESTful API with Express.js, MongoDB for data persistence, and proper CORS configuration for cross-origin deployment. Deployed frontend on Vercel and backend on Render for production scalability.
