About
I build reliable web products from interface to API.
I am Cyubahiro Derrick, a full-stack software engineer based in Kigali, Rwanda. I work across React, Next.js, Node.js, Express, MongoDB, and TypeScript to turn product ideas into usable applications: public websites, dashboards, authentication systems, real-time features, and admin tools that make a product maintainable after launch.
My strongest work is end-to-end delivery. I care about clean structure, readable code, responsive interfaces, and practical decisions that help clients or teams move faster without making the product harder to own.
End-to-end ownership
I can take a feature from data model and API to a responsive interface, then help deploy and maintain it.
Product-minded delivery
I focus on the user flow, admin workflow, edge cases, and the parts of the product that make it useful in real life.
Practical engineering
I keep the stack understandable, document the important decisions, and avoid adding complexity without a reason.
Timeline
Early start
Started coding young and went straight to real projects — no tutorial paralysis, just building.
Growth
Expanded across React, Next.js, Node.js, MongoDB, and TypeScript through freelance clients and personal projects.
Now
Taking on end-to-end systems — owning the API, the database, and the UI from start to deployment.
